always sucks to see a player get injured. But the angels seem like the team to beat this season so anything that hurts them is good for us..

Bad news for the Angels especially since they have a weak starting rotation and an even weaker bullpen.

'To bad it wasn't his throwing arm'?  I'm sorry, but that is just not the kosher thing to think or say.  Misfortune like that really shouldn't be wished on anyone.

Besides, wouldn't it be more gratifying to beat a team at its best?

No one said too bad its not his throwing arm. I think you might have misread something.

Many baseball experts at ESPN, MLB and FOX picked the Angels to win the AL West.  I still picked the A's to win the division again.

Four of the now five AL West teams have a shot--Oakland, LA, Texas, and maybe Seattle--so, say three of them do.  Four of them are helped by getting to play Houston several times (19?).

The Angels should be the frontrunners because of their pitching and now those big bats--Trout, Pujols, Hamilton, et al.  But right now they are 2-5 because neither pitching nor hitting has been that great.   Of course, we are still in the first inning of a 162 game season.  The Sox, meanwhile, were expected to have so-so hitting and pitching, but so far both have been good, plus the defense.
