Well if it is 3 and he goes 7 innings is that a problem?
He is 3 runs into the 5th with 52 pitches.
So if he goes 6/7/8 with only three runs that is a quality start isn't it.
.
It does not matter what inning a team scores runs in they still all count the same.
If he gave up the runs in any inning before the 7th you'd be saying the same thing.
Just remember he has had 14 starts where he has gone 6to 8 innings and given up 4 or less runs.
Only 3 he gave up 4 11 it was 3 or less.
If he had the same run support as Clay he'd have 10+ wins.
However it is not his numbers most are complaining about it is the percieved bad contract, percieved clubhouse cancer, and then the W/Lrecord which does not tell the whole story. -

If, if, if, if. Oh wait. He's ONLY given up 3 runs in the 1st and 5th and had clean innings in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. That's almost a good start. -

beckett and lester both need to be removed from the rotation...they are costing us the season...again....replace them with an off day, a call up, whomever - they will give you a better shot at winning...

Geo: I think that Lester can actually snap out of his 5-10 start. Sadly, it appears that Beckett is done. Golfing is on the horizon -

Interesting that Ron Washington didn't mess around with Harrison and took him out, 1 out shy of a potential decision. BV leaves Josh in to get tagged. -

A cutter that doesn't cut coming in at about 89MPH.
And how was Soto, who is awful, able to hit that pitch down the middle of the plate into the Monster seats.
Easy answers: Josh Beckett. -

5+ innings pitched, 8 runs, 8 ER, 3 HR, 8 hits = SUCKS! With any luck we can trade him through waivers and get a bag of balls and a sno-cone for him. Just rid this team of that cancer. -
