If you had ask me that 5 years ago before A-Rod opted out of his contract and renew his new contract, I would take him.  But now he got 5 years left of his contract going to be 38 years old next year.  He got nothing left in him.

If the salary wasn't so high and the guy just concentrated on the game? Yes, but neither will probably change significantly.  I also doubt the Yanks and Sox would ever make such a deal but who knows?

Next: Around $10 M +: Pedroia, Lackey, Lester

Round numbers $175 M for the 25 man roster( a few parts inc or removed)
