    Have no idea. Coby Ross doesn't play for the Sox.

    As for Cody Ross -- he's a nice player, but it's one game. It's not to say that the Sox still can't win game, but you need to stop sniffin' glue (or whatever) if you think that Ellsbury won't be missed.

    Jacoby Ellsbury is still going to cost any team that signs him a lot if money.I would rather have him than Catl Crawford at this point.     Ellsbury is going to get a huge pay day at the end of the season.  That doesn't change because he is going to miss 6 - 8 weeks with a shoulder injury.

    He's the best OF on this team by far - and when Crawford comes back, we will be reminded of that.

    First, it really doesn't give him a way out. Ellsbury is still under Sox control through next year. If he misses more than half the season -- or the entire season -- then comes back next year and puts up a 30-30 year, he's still going to command big bucks.

    Second, why would you want a way out. As MY DAD would say, "Son, you can never have too many great players on your team."

    and even if you keep jacoby until he hits FA its not like lucchino HAS to pay him the big dollars (although he damn well should). I would rather have him playing every day weather we leaves as a FA or we re-sign him for big bucks. money well spent

    Let's hope that Cody Ross can continue to produce. We certainly need it. But , Ross is not replacing Ellsbury. Ross would be in the lineup in any event. Essentially , Ellsbury is being replaced by McDonald or Repko. To say that is a huge drop off would be the understatement of the year. Of course , Ellsbury will be missed. Everyone around baseball knows that. I think Bill 806 knows it as well , and he is just trying to put a positive spin on a bad situation. ................. P.S. Keep an eye on Linares. Off to a strong start at Portland. Maybe he can help.

    Your right....... Im just concerned that this could be an injury that leaves Jacoby "less" that what he was/is going to be...... Heck, look at A-GON from last year coming back from a shoulder problem, yes he hit for average, but not much power in the 2nd half !!!
