Re: August 7 game thread, Sox v Rangers

Lester's stuff seems to be improving.  However, he's still a total and complete headcase who shows up his teammates. I couldn't imagine what he'd be like in the dugout if he had Mitch Williams as his closer (then again, that assumes you leave the game when you actually have the lead).

Crawford seems to look a little better - getting some confidence back.  But I caution you that it's still only 20 games and his Strikeouts and walks are alarming.  He doesn't draw walks and for every hit he gets, he also K's - all bad ratios for the long term.

And let's remember that w/o the Kinsler Error, we don't score at all off of Dempster....again......pathetic........

And poof - they lose more games than they win.  Who could have seen THAT coming?!???

[QUOTE]Game over. Lester ended up surrendering four runs. Mediocre outing, in the end. Started out well, but he lost his focus when he didn't get some calls he thought he deserved. Back below .500. This team defines mediocrity.

Not a big enough audience for your "game over" routine on Sawksheads, Pumpsie?

At least you haven't insisted they lose the rest of the games here yet.

Caught game late, not getting upset anymore, its basically a mediocre team. Spending more time with the familiy.nI cannot evn remember the last time Jon Lester has won a game for this team.

I thought the same thing pumpsie, they've been a side show.  Her father was finally told to stay in his seat and mother to keep the sign to herself
