How come no one else is picking up a bad contract player via waiver from another team?   Oh wait.   Only boston is allow to make their own moves, not others!!

The plan should be: scrap the current plan.

Get a real manager, instead of an egomaniac.

Rebuild the pitching staff around Morales, Buchholz and Dubront and perhaps Aceves and a few others.

Build the lineup around Gonzalez, Pedroia , Middlebrooks , Saltalmacchia and Ross ( seems to be a good "clubhouse guy"). Take a serious look at revamping the outfield with emphasis on throwing arms and hitting for average (contact), not so much power.

A new coaching staff, would eliminate many mistakes, like the one that ran Pedroia into an out at homeplate vs. Cleveland. Our pitching coach has done nothing except send the same noneffective starters back out over and over again.

    World Series?

Let's get out of last place before we start dreaming of the "World Series."

You need long range plans and vision to get this team stable by 2015. You aren't going to see a World Series before then.

The time is now to take baby steps. You have seen what "bold moves" have got us....a last place team with the 2nd highest payroll on MLB. Time to stop thinking of World Series and start thinking about just finishing with a winning record.

Our top of the rotation starter is Buchholz. Like it or not he's our best right now. These guys don't grow on trees.

Posted by 2004Idiots[/QUOTE]We may have no choice. The good part about that is that we may shed some of the bandwagon fans.

I am pretty convinced that 500 to much of a winning record for Bill and he won't rest until the Sox are a 40 win team.
