Forget about Lester and Aceves and Wake for a moment. What is Youk doing for us. Between A Gon and Papi, Youk
is really underperforming. Lets look at some #4 hitters.
Yankees...A Rod: Phils..Howard : Chisox.. Konerko;
Cards..Pujols and the Red Sox...well, we have Youk, who
gives the umps grief looking for walks, instead of being
aggressive . Youk is a defensive batter for the spot in
the lineup he occupies.He always jumps back from pitches
and frequently makes out when a good pitcher gets ahead
of him. Yes he gets his walks, and gets hit by pitches, but
that's not who you want between A Gon and Papi !!!

wait, so now he has leg problems? are you just making this up, or do you feel it's convenient to match the Sox organizational thinking on Tim...He had a back problem, he had surgery, it took him a while to recover, he looked maybe a little off or a little slow of the mound last year. But this year? He sure looked fine covering first more than a few times this year. Don't see him as an injury risk, and again why coddle a backup rotation pitcher? You pitch him especially if he's only going every 5 or 6 days.

Another great start from the fat man with the 5 plus ERA since the 2nd half of 2009. He's been much better than Lester or Aceves, because Flapjack just said so.

Why does everyone think Wake is fat? have you looked at Youkilis lately? How about Fat Albers or Bobby Jinx?
Wake is actually in pretty good shape for a guy who is 45, and is pitching better than anyone else in the rotation right now.
Lay off him already.
