We have good left-handed bats they have good right-handed starters.  We have Koji and they don't.

Moonslav, Examiner, Pumpsie, and Zetterberg correctly predicted the Sox in 4 over the Rays, though Pump and Moon didn't get the order of the lost game right.

Are you saying they will win 2 of 3 in Detroit?

    I say Sox in 7.

You cant split a 3 game set in DET, that would be taking 2 out of 3

The format is, two in Boston, three ( if necessary ) in Detroit, and two more in Boston. If the Sox win in five, it would end in Detroit, and home field would not have been a factor.

Didn't know format was 2-3-2!  Still say we win in 5.

Predicting at this stage in the season feels like flipping a coin for me.  Anything can happen.  Any team can win.

So, I HOPE the Sox win - in 4 or 5 or 6 or 7; dOn't matter - just hope they win it.

Tigers showed they were a better baseball team, with the 4 to 3 series win during the season. Miggy's a wounded bear, but growled the A's out last night. I'm still waiting to meet with my source.

If Verlander were starting game 1, I would give the nod to Detroit, but he isn't.  He starts game 3 in Detroit on Tuesday unless weather intervenes.  Playing Peralta at SS and Kelly in LF has made their lineup better.

But I gotta go with the pros from Dover and say the Sox in 5 or 6.

Re: Bring on the Tigers! Predictions?

With the Tigers unable to set up their rotation for the whole series, Sox will win the first two, and then try to fight off Detriot for the three games set in Detriot just like Boston did it in Tampa.  I can foreseeing them to win at least once in Detriot cuz Sanchez or Fisher is more likely to pitch twice in five game span.  Then we will all see that  Verlander and Scherzer is more likely to pitch game 6 and 7 after they pitch game 2 and 3.

Having short rest for both Verlander and Scherzer may hurt them or may not hurt them.

    Go Sox

Re: Bring on the Tigers! Predictions?

    WHAT ARE THE PITCHING MATCH-UPS?

It's going to come down to G1 again - we have Lester vs NOT JV nor MS, at home, w/ rest....you can not allow the Tigers to steal that game

Then we gotta win 3 of 6 but be warned, Games 6 and 7 will feature MS and JV w/o anything from Lester so you do not want to put yourself in a position where you have to win BOTH of those games........

Yes the pen is vulernable but also remember that the V-Man can pitch all night if he has to so working his NP won't work in this case......

Be ready to bust the bats open in G1 and hope Lester can come up big again and then from there Farrell and team have their work cut out for them regarding strategy........
