    In response to Dutch1914's comment:

In case some of you were gullible enough to believe a Met's fan with 150 twitter followers, Jon Heyman is now confirming the rumor is B.S.

    Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS

that ped rumor thats been floating out there today is compete BS, and thats capital BS. lets move on.

Hopefully some of you guys learn from this. Next time, perhaps you should read the other things a twitter account says before thinking they have any credibility. If you did that, you'd see that the same twitter account claimed that Jeter and Bautsista tested positive for PED's last year. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that an unheard of Met's fan with a Winnie the Pooh avatar and 150 followers shouldn't be taken as serious.

though i'm a Yankee fan, given all that we've seen the past 5-10 seasons, IMO that wasn't something we could quickly dimiss, especially with the few out of the blue positive test that have been brought to light....i'm sure even back then all of us viewed a few of the Mitchell Report names as eye raisers...

It is always a good idea to wait and not overreact  to initial rumors or reports. But sometimes hard to resist.

Not sure what Dutch is so worked up about, or who exactly "gave credence" to the report. Reading through the initial thread on this subject, it looks like most everyone who posted there realized that this was just an unsubstantiated rumor (if an intriguing one) at that point, and it was discussed as such. For something that would have been a gigantic bombshell if true, the response was pretty reasonable and low-key.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear this isn't true, both for the sake of the game and for the players involved. Lord knows the Yanks have enough problems on their hands right now... ;)

I think old Dutch is the only one over reacting here. its a discussion forum and it was discussed for what it was...Just a rumor.
