    Carl Crawford Tracker

Crawford, benched in the midst of a 4-45 stretch, came off the pine last night with a pinch hit 2 run jack to help the Dodgers beat the Marlins in extra innings. The Cubs need an outfielder, LMAO.

Whatever hand You and Dad had in that trade, thank you very much. Crawford's HR was on the ugliest swing you've ever seen. His hand flew off halfway thru as he pirouetted in the box.

Crawford is awful.. He's lost some not all of his speed.. Was benched.. In a crowded outfield with Puig, Kemp, Eithier,. Completely very little power. He is a walking DL stint waiting to happen.. He said the pressure was to much, no he was a not a fit. Could not lead off ( ellsbury ) ideal to hit second Not ( Pedrioa) third ah no way ( Ortiz) cleanup ah no ( gonzo. Maybe 5 but at the time his speed is useless hitting fifth. You need some power in that spot. On the defensive side playing the wall in Fenway overrated Manny and greenwell weren't great out fielders and they did fine. So to say his speed and the outfield is great not so much in LF @ home.

And I want Fred Lynn tracked.  Also, do not forget to include Trout's stats since he has channeled Lynn in his first three years!

On the other hand, how about Beckett -- 5 GS, 3.14 ERA, 1.012 WHIP.

It seems reports of his demise have been slightly exaggerated.

Crawford was the worst signing Theo ever made and probably one of he final straws for him in Boston regardless of the Cubby deal.  I also never really thought Beckett was finished when I heard he needed TJ.  Lackey was awful for us and look where he is today because of the new technology.  The Dodgers have a world of talent if they can reel in Puig, play as a team and stay healthy.

I wouldn't want to play them in the WS if this happens, especially with all our ex players including Hanley on the team.

I live in the Los Angeles area and have gotten hot under the collar the past couple of seasons hearing Crawford bag on Boston and the pressure he said he was under.  Apparently, the pressure is high for him in LA as well because he is hitting only 225 and that is with three hits last night.  Fortunately, the Dodgers lost so no harm was done.  There are also reports that the team wants to get rid of either Crawford, Ethier or Kemp and maybe two of them to get Joc Peterson in the lineup next season.  They will have to eat a lot of cash in order to get some sucker team to take them off their hands and while we would have no interest in Carl, keep in mind that Kemp has  gone backwards and  tends to loaf while Ethier can't hit lefthanders worth a da@n.  Of course, Andre and Pedroia are best of friends so we have to wonder if he will use some snake oil on Cherington to get that guy to Boston.  Hopefully not, though right now he would be an improvement over a couple of the guys we have out there now.
