    Many of the players have already said that they are responsible such as Punto, Pedroia, Salty and Gonzo - to name just a few. Most of the forum also hold Beckett and Lester responsible.

    Yep the players are not performing well and it's the managers job to get them to perform to the best of their abilities.

    Not all the players. You can't blame the injury prone closer who hasn't thrown a pitch all year due to injury. It's not his fault.

    None of the above. The manager or FO has little to do about the mediocrity. Read Pedroia's lips from his comments after the Saturday night game, " Our offense just stunk". All year the offense has been inconsistent, the starting pitching below par, and then injuries. BV, BC, LL, JH had nothing to do with those factors. The problem was on the field.
