Re: Ciriaco.... the one who got away!

Guys like Ciriaco and Mauro Gomez have to be in the right place at the right time and have a Godfather with the org. that has watched enough of them on tape or in person and knows someone that can give them the recommendation that gets them signed.

After watching Ciriaco and Gomez perform, as they did last season for the Sox, no one can tell me  there aren't teams that can use these guys.

People comment about them both that they are butchers in the field. If you're not playing everyday it's tough to stay sharp. In 125 Inn. last season for the Sox Gomez made one error at first--the throw from an infielder broke the webbing in his glove. He's labeled as a "butcher" in the field--because he was playing out of position at 3 B and made 4 errors.

Gomez has led every minor league league in the last three years in run production. Ciriaco had a short stint with the Pirates before the Sox.

    Oh I got the joke.

I wonder what happened to all the Reddick fans this year.

last year people were talking about him like he was going to be the MVP.

Yup, Josh is really lighting it up....

What would have been fun Burr, is iof you hunted down one of the Reddick threads and pulled it to the front so we could laugh at all the "BC is an idiot for getting rid of this AS stud" comments.

good situation for Ciriaco. That stadium plays to his speed and if given the chance to play regularly, he should play better than he did last year. I wish him well. I enjoyed watching him play in 2012.

I would bet Ciriaco has a nice career if he's allowed to play every day and improve his skills.

Hes better served, with his skillset, in a big NL park.

Re: Ciriaco.... the one who got away!

Actually , Ciriaco is a useful player who can help a team. I never thought he would clear waivers .  It was just a case of him being out of options and Iglesias needing to play.  Sox got what they could for him.
