LMFAO  You don't win in the offseason.  Have you watched the Sox over the last few years at all. Sure they made some nice moves but lets see them play first before we call them champions.

Just 22 months ago we went to Ft. Myers with what appeared to be a can't miss team, and now look.  Funny things happen when the games actually begin, so don't bet the mortgage on the Jays.  They do look good on paper, though.

The Jays got a quality pitcher in Dickey.  Ryan Dempster can't compare IMO.

They made a lot of moves, but who do they have?

    • 1B Lind .729
    • 2B Kelly?  Bonifacio?
    • 3B Lawrie .729
    • CF Rasmus .689
    • C Arencibia .710

    Rotation

    • Dickey
    • Buerhle
    • Johnson
    • Morrow
    • Romero

    Closer

    • Jannsen

It's a good team, but no sure thing for 90 wins.  Dickey is good, but none of the other four are a good bet for an ERA of 4, but still a good group.  On offense, it is Encarncion, Bautista, Reyes is okay, Melky without the PEDS?

If Toronto remains healthy, then I see them winning around 90 games.

This season is a perfect opportunity for them to win.  The Yankees are old, Boston is in transition stage, Tampa lacks offense and Baltimore has not made any improvements.

Morrow had a 2.96 era last year and led all AL starters in strikeouts/innings pitched in 2011.Not only is he a good bet to go below a 4.00 era but now that he's finally matured there aren't a dozen pitchers in all of baseball that the jays would trade him for

Least we forget they have3 guys who  played for the Marlins last year. Who were supposed to be loaded and ended up in last place. Sound familiar???

and RA is 38 and by all RS fans standards a waste of not using some one younger.

I'am sure the Jays are hoping to get more out of Dickey.

Unlike Wakefield, Dickey has other pitches he uses to get hitters out.

That and his knuckler is thrown 15mph faster.

Jays can put their presumptive winner's trophy on the shelf next to the one for the 2011 Red Sox.

Should be a lock, no other teams in the division will be over .500. Plus all 5 of their starters have proven themselves in the AL East. Oh not to mention Reyes is never hurt.

The jays are strong, the sox are not....thats not much of a prediction....can we break .500? that will be the challenge imo

at least we can then say we finished 12 games better than last year (even if we still end up in 4th or last)
