Softy is all about the admirable success of low-payroll teams, right?

But - he hates the Rays.  So he never says one word of praise about them, and he makes fun of them whenever his arch-enemy moonslav praises the Rays.

Welcome to the wild and wacky world of Softy.

There is no such thing as "162 game average" season. Those are nothing but projections.

In reality, the career plate numbers are so similar and any difference is so small that parks and lineup variables are such that any small difference are statistically insignificant. As I said a long time ago, when Ellsbury was projected as a superstar and all-time Red Sox great, when their two careers were over Crisp's career would be as good as Ellsbury. For 2013, Crisp has been more productive than Ellsbury. Defensively, Crisp plays the game harder and is better than Ellsbury.

Crisp has been a better value than Ellsbury, no doubt about that. Slightly more durable than Ellsbury. He's been a great leader for the back to back Western Division Champs, beating a Rangers team that have owned the Red Sox, in recent years. He was a great leader on the 2006, 2007 and 2008 teams, that had a lot of success.

Like I said good for a laugh.  Average is not projection, let me know if you have trouble with the dictionary and I'll explain the two words to you.  Crisp is having a career year and he still isn't close to the production of Ellsbury.

Great leader?  How did you measure that?  LOL

The only thing that can be measured is his numbers, which weren't very good.
