So, Curt's projections for AL East

1. Rays

2. O's

3 and 4 Jays and Red Sox

5 Yankees

Curt did say he thinks the division will be about 5 games separating first fom last.

Other than to state that the Red Sox are not going to make the playoffs, the division is too close to call the final order of finish and who wins the division. It's unlikely that any team not winning the division gets one of the wild card spots.

Rays won't win the division.  Their rotation is not as strong as before and their lack of offense continues.  Rays will win about 87-88 gms if they are lucky.  O's are slightly better than the Rays if their rotation and BP continue to do what they were doing in 2012.  But I see 84-85 wins for the O's.  Jay's might have 90+ wins season and finish 1st.  Yanks are 84-85 wins team right now. Sox will win 88-89 games.  

1. Jays - 91-71

2. Red Sox - 88-74

3. Yankees - 86-76

4 & 5. Rays and O's - 84-78

In fact, the "if he were betting" part was not his standing projection.

Never was a fan of Schilling's politics (or the politics of any partisan dummy who enthusiastically follows their own party over either side of the cliff) but he took a massive beating on that company because he was willing to put his own skin in the game. That's all you can ask of someone who wants to start a business. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't. He took a risk and it didn't work out. He shouldn't have cried about not getting the extra extension on the loans because the company was doomed but he deserves credit for giving it a go. I wish him well in his future endeavors.
