he could pitch 6 innings, give up 4 hits, 1 run.
he could pitch 3 innings , give up 8 hits , 5 runs.
i believe with BARD, that will be the story every time he starts.
he's got enough stuff to be great, but he also has enough stuff to be bad. -

I hope he does way better than my prediction, but here it is:
4 innings, 5 ER, 4 Walks, 90+ pitches
Having said that, Drabek most likely will perform worse. I expect this to be a slugfest with the best bullpen winning the game....so Jays win. -

Come on, WALKS coupled with not being able to get past 5 is going to be story here.....He may strike out the side to start the game but there was a reason why he never cut it as a starter - in the MINORS! -

I'm afraid that he is going to get in pitch count trouble early on. Bard has great stuff , but control and command are not always up to par. -

Posted by andrewmitchAround 6 or 7 hopefully...his pitch count will be around 100, just like everyone else at this point...I think 7 or 8 Ks is more realistic, but who knows...give up the "couldn't start in the minors thing." That was 22 starts in Class A, eons ago... -

no, he failed as a starter at the minor league level - horribly - across 2 seaons....i can't see him making 100 pitches.......hopefully, he'll give us at least 80 though -

I think he will be a lot like Doubront and get a high pitch count quickly: 5 IP, 2 runs, 3 walks, 5 k's. -

Bard throws some high-heat to Bautista. Clearly a brush back pitch, but Jose thinking it on purpose charges the mound. Pedey first to tackle Jose and Umps break it up. -

finally, we get to action over opinions! bard should close, he shouldn't.. noone knows. if he comes out and goes 7 strong shutout innings as i am predicting, who in their right mind will advocate for him being the closer esp wich aceves going 1-2-3 last night. its about performance. i would rather have a lights out guy ideally as a starter. most important. if he goes 1 inning and gets shelled, sure you may have to consider it esp if it happens 3 straight times! lets see how he does!
