Silly boy.  Obama is just another corporate shill.  Very far from Marx.  If he was Karl Marx, there actually would be some shovel-ready jobs, one way or another ...

Texas also is dead last in health insurance -- 26 percent don't have it; the national average is 17 percent. So what jobs he's creating (a) pay poorly and (b) have crappy benefits. I don't post this in support of Obama, who I voted for but have a degree of disappointment in. And I'm not anti-Republican ... I could live with Romney in the White House. But not Rick Perry. Not that any of this has anything to with the Red Sox playing like crap lately ...
Posted by LloydDobler[/QUOTE] same here (not the red sox part -- the Obama - Perry part). If I said the red sox are playing badly ...... well; I just couldn't say it.

In both of these slick politician's defense though, the unemployement problem, and the economic disaster as a whole, is bigger than either of these fellows and was gonna do its thang regardless of who was at the reins these past few years.

Space, I think  what stats you read about PERRY & what stats I read about Perry are 2 different reports you know how that game is played, but that still doesn't help Tito understand what a bunt is, he should have bunted several times in the first 4 innings we are not hitting the ball we have to create runs, as Bill would say what say you

TC, yeah funny 'bout the stats huh?

As far as the bunting, I personally like it situationally, and wish Tito would salt in a little more, situationally.  But, bunting just to get the O rolling doesn't seem right to me.  These guys are just in a funk.  I think you don't re-invent the wheel just because your high-octane offense is bottoming out for a minute.  Let them hit their way out of it I say.  A. They will do so, they have shown this before, you just never know when it is going to happen and who the catalyst will be, and B. suddenly switching gears to go small ball has panic written all over it.  Takes away their confidence and also, it is a proven fact that hardly any of these guys can actually lay a decent bunt down.  I say, stay the course.  A thousand points of light.

Yeah, I can see your point with Crawford.  At this point, he should just bunt every time up.  Just awful at the plate.

Right now we need Crawford, also Lowrie and Aviles and Lavarnway and Salty/Tek.  Whether or not it's caused by a stiff neck, AGon is in a slump, and Ortiz and Youk are unavailable.

PLaying 6-4 over the first 160 games of the season will leave a team 96-64 with 2 games to play.  So 96-98 wins is unsatisfactory?

It's like the old adage - you can't win them all, and no matter how many you do win, Soxs fans will complain it wasn't enough....
