It probably saved the world if you think about it. By dropping 2 hydrogen bombs and showing its horrible destruction, I think it served as a reminder to the Russians and to the Chinese over the last 60something years, you don't want to go that route.

 

It was very stupid of the Japanese to decide to attack Pearl Harbor.

I think even after the first bomb was dropped the Japanese leader refused to surrender. Maybe he thought we only had one bomb?....never could figure that one out.

You can't figure it out, but Oliver Stone can. The first bomb was uncessary, and Stone has uncovered evidence that the Japanese people signed a petition of surrender but, behind closed doors, Truman said "F*** the Nips, the Emporer has not spoken and he is in charge, Nuke the little slant eyed Bas**** back into the stoneage!!!!!"

My children turned me on to Stone. They told me that the public schools are teaching Stone's factually updated version of American history. They said it may be painful for old out of touch white guys, but it's the truth and the sooner we apologize for the cimres of American old white men, the sooner the world will be at peace and harmony and economic prosperity and world clean water and air.
