DiceK; Just end it now and trade him for a bag of balls

DiceK will need to be activated by August 29th or else the Red Sox need to come up with another injury.

Here's his line from last night:

Daisuke Matsuzaka (neck) allowed five runs -- four earned -- on five hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings Wednesday in his latest rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket

For a guy who's in the last 6 weeks of a 6 year disaster of a contract, what is the point of keeping him around. Really. The team is out of it and he won't be around next year so why pitch him at all, instead of someone else who has a chance of being here.

I would say to trade him for a bag of balls ONLY if you can have the bag back after the balls are delivered.

aside from pitching a reasonable game in game 7 against Cleveland, he has been a complete annoyance . . . culminating in him taking the WBC far more seriously, and likley throwing out his arm, than his responsibilities to the Red Sox

hard to believe the Yawkey Way shop still tries to sell (highly discounted) anything with his name on it . . . not even worth using as oil changing rags

he will certainly not be missed

Well they are still paying thus he should keep on playing besides it is not hurting anyone or thing.

Such an insignificant thing to be posted.

Just release him and let someone that will be with the team next year come up from the minors and pitch.  Cook can go, too.

Because? Any inning he pitches at any level hurts the organization because it takes an inning away from someone who might be around next year. He definitely won't be around next year.

    A. It's not like he would pitch much worse than whoever he replaces.

    B. They don't really need a "bag of balls."

    C. No GM on this planet is going to trade for him. If he goes to free agency they can sign him without trading a player, for next year ( but the Insane Clown Posse is not running an MLB team ...well, maybe the Red Sox...but I highly doubt even the inept bunch in the Boston front office offers Daisuke a contract for 2013).

    D. Sure as heck you will get some posters ( like 'J.D.Drew' fan club members who reside here) that will say , "he was a good player when he was healthy"...you know, those two or three months a year when he wasn't injured....usually in the offseason....ignorance is truly bliss!!!

    E. Okay , we don't need the bag of balls. Maybe we could trade him to Liverpool Soccer team.He could take their worst soccer player and he could kick the ball from the mound and possibly "throw" more strikes than Daisuke.

Best solution if there is no injury, Boston can just put him on the waiver from August 29th to 31st, and if no one want him, then pull him off of the waiver, and put on the 40 man September roster.

I wouldnt worry too much about him
