Do former baseball players make good broadcasters?

I say some of the times. Remy,Eckersley, and Hawk Harrelson, when he was announcing Sox games, are examples of good broadcasters. Who do you like and dislike?

Your positive examples.  My negative examples are the obvious ones, but I can't stand Joe Morgan or tim McCarver so much that I will call them out again here.  They are the Bill Waltons of baseball.

Mark Grace is one of the best I've heard in recent years.  As far as some of the new guys go, I like Nomar but Aaron Boone's nasally voice grates on me.  I find Eck entertaining.
