Do you agree with the Boston Marathon SUSPECT being charged as a regular criminal murderer rather than as an ENEMY COMBATANT?

Funny how all the strict Consitutionalist are ready to drop it so quickly when it suits their agenda.

i was ready to type this in this thread.  exactly Moon.

Listen folks, no American in their right mind thinks anything but horror at what these 2 kids/men did.  but to take away their rights as American citizens is exactly what we shouldnt do.  many have died over the years since we have become a nation to protect these freedoms for us.  to turn our backs on these freedoms is an insult to those that have given their lives, limbs, sanity for them.  even if these freedoms seem to "protect" these 2 citizens from unconstitutional acts.

the kid in Aurora killed more US citizens and we have no problem with his miranda rights.

    just saying.....

This putting .NOT. after positive statements to make them negative. Did all twenty of you go see that movie together in Carnie's schoolbus? Are is it mob behavior or a Pied Piper , monkey see, monkey do -  syndrome? The other explanation is multiple monikers . Great movie, right guys?

How about the use by the of word "Jabroni"? Are you wrestling fans also? Do you take that seriously?  How is it possible that all in a sudden one day that ten of you started insulting others by calling them a Jabroni? Some coincidence.

Was there a link with international terrorists with McVeigh?

Has there been repetitive attacks all over the planet daily by the likes of McVeigh since?

Were the plotters picked in the Canada this week a member of McVeigh's clan?

Quite a stretch trying to make a moral equivilency with an isolated domestic incident with Islamic terrorism.

Nevermind the big idiot spent 6 months in Russia just last year. No connection, no need to see if they had help and there are others involved or future plots abound

Whether or not the younger one should have been given his Citizenship without proper vetting in the first place and whether his parents should have even been given Asylum are issues that should be debated and where are our immigration policies are all scrwed up. That said, he is unfortunately now an American Citizen and with that comes some rights and protections....if there was alink that could be established with a Foreign terrorist entity, then he could be treated as an Enemy Combatent, barring that he is a American citizen who committed a Domestic Terror attack and as such he should be tried as such.....and should be subject to the Death Penalty just as Timothy McVeigh was. Do we possible lose some intelligence about hsi brothers connections in Chechnya....maybe....but that is what some of thse protections we offer Americans does.....and if we take it away in his case, the line can be moved time and time again for various reasons and before you know it, those protections are gone for all of us.

The one that amazes me is the Fort Hood shooter who the Obama Administration has the guy being tried as work place violence as opposed to terrorism  even with the radical beleifs the shooter had. They are going to give this Boston Bomber a free attorney as well. My question is who was paying the college tuition of these two supposed students. Dartmouth and Cambridge are not cheap schools to attend.

Murder is murder....terrorism is specific on the psychological effects it has tied to the political motives one may hold.  when you blow a bomb up in a middle of a largerly crowded area during a significant day it's more than just murder, but if you are just a crazy person with twisted religious views and you murder someone....it's murder.

Just because someone is Islamic and murder someone doesn't make them a terrorist, if that was the case we would have tens of thousands white christian terrorists living right here in the U.S.A

unknown.  he had the constitutional right to remain silent

what are the "likes of McVeigh"?  white non-islamic men?  then yes,...aurora, sandy hook, columbine, detroit to name a few.

Were the plotters picked in the Canada this week a member of McVeigh's clan?

i dont know.  where they part of the 2 boston bombers clan?  is that what you are trying to say?  not that this really means much but we sure did need to feel like we stopped something after allowing the 2 bombs to go off, right?

Quite a stretch trying to make a moral equivilency with an isolated domestic incident with Islamic terrorism.

    how is this Islamic terrorism?

i spent a few weeks in Moscow for business last year.  guess i missed that memo that this makes me a terrorist.

Yes. No death penalty too because it's illegal in Mass. Unalienable means Unalienable

Here is what we should do., IMHO.

We put him on trial, as painful as that is for those who want to react with their first emotional response to just "KILL" him.  Sorry but we don't live in Rome anymore and we stand for something.  We should never ever ever ever let terrorism bring us down to their level and treat people like animals, even if that is hard to do.  We maintain our justice system, we uphold due process, magna carta!!!!

If he is guilty (which I place the odds of his guilt somewhere around. 99.999999999999901%) then we sentence him to life in prison.

Why life? why not kill him you say? it costs more money to kill someone no? unless you want to kill him you think it costs more money to jail him for life.

You put him in jail, with the general population, and if you can then maybe in a jail that has a high anglo saxan population.

    So in conclusion we:

Maintain the U.S. constitution and justice system.......check

we dont' sentence him to death appeasing the non death penalty crowd....check

He goes into the GP and gets killed within a week appeasing the want him dead crowd...check

We don't spend more tax dollars on housing him for life or the cost of putting him on death row....check mate.

Just like the chinese use to do for milleniums; let the barbarians fight the barbarians.

    Just my two cents.
