Dodgers win bid for Ryu Hyun-jin?

The Dodgers may just be the new Yankees and even want Tori Hunter.

They have already committed 200M to the 2013 payroll...And theres no sign of not adding to it anymore. If they dont make the playoffs or the WS for that matter, it will be considered a huge fail.

The NYY and Sox are proof that spending more  doesnt = championships.

Yeah. We don't need pitchers like this. We have Aaron Cook.

If Scott Boras negotiates with the North Koreans, then he will bring back the USS Pueblo within a day or two.  LOL

    I'm Korean.

The Korean baseball league is the equivalent of between AA and AAA in the States.

Therefore, I do not understand the hype for Ryu Hyun-Jin.

I'm glad the Red Sox will not pursue him.

Time will tell if the Dodgers will recover the $25.7 posting fee plus the expensive contract for this pitcher. The Red Sox got burned on the Dice-K experience and will be more disciplined in the future. Isn't that what we want?

So Pike, you've not answered why you trollishly use so many different handles here....

Lets face it if Clayton Kershaws hip isn't 100% Dodgers aren't winning anything. Still need the homegrown talent to win in MLB. RS already tried the Beckett/Gonzalez/Crawford/Dice K route how did it work out for them? Good Luck to Dodgers at least they will sell some tickets just like the RS did.

I tend to agree, the Dodgers/Magic Johnson are willing to spend but pitching and injuries can kill a plan in a heartbeat.  I also have a funny feeling we may not be done trading with the Dodgers.
