Maybe the allergies took on another form. Im not sure how strong his Immune system is right now. I wish they would say something to the fans because RSN really does care about him and are legitimately concerned...

    GOOOOOD !!

His announcement is encouraging. In an interview with TC on NESN he did say he was in need of more chemo. We all hope his immune system gets a boost. I like Eck, but no one is as good a partner as the Remdawg.

Not really Bill. People with cancer do not have a normally functioning immune system, so pneumonia can be pretty serious. Infection, I believe, is the most common cause of death in cancer patients, so I am pretty concerned about Remy. Also, I think its lung cancer that he has, so I wonder if the cancer is somehow obstructing some of his airways preventing proper drainage. The length of time he has been out is also concerning. If he reads this, best wishes to him from all of us, I am sure.

    Hey Pumpsie:

I have been taking someone to the BI for radiation and Chemo, so I am seeing first hand what you just described.

All the best to Jerry.  Amazing with what he is going thru that he still can do his job.

I lost my dad to cancer. It was 10 short months from the time he was diagnosed, to the day he died. I've never watched first hand something vicious take over, what was orherwise a very healthy person. My dad worked up until May and passed in July. He didn't have lung cancer, he had bile duct cancer. One of the rarer forms of cancer. The end stage is difficult on the patient, and their care takers. I hope this isn't where Jerry is yet, hopefully he'll fight on.
