    Re: Does Latino = Cheater?

    Hmm...

Live in near poverty in a third world country or make millions of dollars playing baseball on the best country on Earth? Decisions, decisions...

Yup, I'd take the needle too. Maximize those chances.

Don't forget that Bartolo Colon and Melky Cabrera got off due to previously being caught caughtand Gio Gonzales was also implicated.  To quote My cousin Vinny "that subject line is dead nut balls on accurate" and those that are getting bent out of shape have problems accepting the truth when it is staring them in the face due to political correctness.

The headline should have focused on players from the Dominican Republic with no reference to race. It is the baseball culture in the DR that can be viewed with some legitimate suspicion about steroid use. They do not have the same laws or attitudes toward steroid use that we have in the States. There are facts to back this up, as zac pointed out.

As others have said, why there are so many Latinos among those caught cheating is a legitimate question to raise...however, it looks like the point Tcal was trying to make got overwhelmed by the reaction to his ill-advised headline, which he admitted was "sensationalized to draw attention."

On the other hand, if you think "Latino=Cheater" is dead on accurate, then you have bigger problems than "political correctness."

tcal - you made a racist post.  The sad thing is, even after it's been pointed out to you, you refuse to accept it.  Do yourself a favor and stop trying to defend it because it makes you look worse.  And go find a class on racism.

Do you need a latter to get those little legs up on your soap box?

The Drama queens are hilarious.  Their so offended that I wanted to Bring up the 400lb Gorilla sitting across the room.  There's a huge problem out there that MLB isn't addressing.  Kids in these 3rd world countries are pumping their systems with cancer causing chemicals and at the same time lowering the creditability and popularity of the Sport.
