Just when I thought media couldn't get any dumber, this story somehow gains traction.

Syria, Libya, Thailand, Ivory Coast?  Nah, lets talk about some bozo trying to make a little money off predicting the end of the world.

If the world were ending tomorrow I'd at least take pleasure in the death of the 24 hour news culture.

My cynicism aside, it is a little strange that the last time the Cubs and Red Sox played it was on September 11th.  Just like Fenway opening on the day the Titanic sank.  Just like there being a red moon on the night they closed out St. Louis.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying....

Thank you Red Sox for 2004 and 2007. And also for 67 and 75 and 03 and 90. Too bad the Cubs won't win a World Series before the end of the world.
