    Re: Every Year

You already started this thread under a different title.

But "every year" is certainly wrong.

It should be "most years" as it didn't happen in 1975, 1986, 2004 or 2007.

But, I'll agree that it does happen so often that it stinks already. But, we shouldn't hang our heads in dismay, as this team of mostly bench and average players has really exceeded most expectations. Let's ride it out and see if maybe they wake up and stop tripping over their own feet. Let's face it , right now, they are beating themselves. There is no way the should be losing agianst bottom feeders like Toronto, KC and Houston....and this Yankees team is really not that scary...surely not as scary as the 2004 team.

    Re: Every Year

Actually that series in 2006 that you are refering was a 5 game sweep. One of the days was a double header to make up a rainout game. That series has been refered to as the Boston Massacre of 2006. Yanks rolled into Fenway on Aug. 18th and just put a beat down on the Sox taking all 5 games by scores of 12-4, 14-11, 13-5, 2-1 and 4-3. Not too often you see 5 game sweeps. It's definitely a series I'll never forget.
