Jonathan Singleton: used pot, 50 game suspension. Drake Britton: drove drunk, went 111 mph in a 45, no suspension.

Mark Teixeira was scratched from Team USA's lineup for an exhibition game today because of a sore forearm.

John Farrell said it's "likely" that Jackie Bradley starts the year in the minors, but "you never want to put a limit on anyone, either."

Minor-league pitching coaches Rich Sauveur and Bob Kipper are running Jon Lester through fielding drills by himself on the main field.

The Red Sox have no timetable for Franklin Morales (back) to pitch off a mound in the bullpen, let alone in a game.

Mark Teixeira has a strained forearm. Out a week to 10 days and done with WBC.

John Farrell says on @985TheSportsHub that Jackie Bradley jr in MLB to start year "probably not a legitimate possibility."
Farrell went on to say that if everybody is healthy then it doesn't make sense to have Bradley coming off the bench

Craig Breslow didn’t do any throwing on Tuesday and will throw from 75-90 feet Wednesday.

Daniel Bard is tentatively scheduled to appear in Thursday’s game against the Twins at Hammond Stadium

Franklin Morales is still experiencing low-back stiffness but is responding well to treatment. Farrell said that Morales did some core stability exercises Tuesday, but there is no date for him to even do a bullpen session, let alone pitch in a game.

Daniel Nava will start tonight in right field -- a position he may have to master if he wants to start the season in Boston.
“He’s improved tremendously in left field, but given the potential makeup of our bench and our extra outfield situation, the ability to play right field probably will be a key in his situation,” Farrell said. “Not to say his roster status hinges on it, but we’re going to take a look at it.”
