    Feeling bad for Bard

It may be a while before we see Bard in any capacity with the big club.

Anyone know how "chuchos" feels about the comments in the negative thread he started? His private comments won't help.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Feeling bad for Bard : Agreed.  It was a bad idea to begin with, and it has not panned out.  If the goal was to get us to Daisuke, it worked and let's call the rest off.

The goal was to get to DiceK and an expected June return, meanwhile the team could satisfy Bard's desire and the team's curiosity about his starting ability. Having Aceves to close some games, but primarily to set up Bailey allowed the whole experiment to run. Even if Bard was successful, he wasn't going to get 30+ starts, probably something in the 150 innings range. Unfortunately for Bard, he may have pitched himself out of a spot on the team, as the bullpen is pretty good right now without him.
