Fielder Homers, and a Fan Almost Dies.

Following the death of Rangers fan Shannon Stone, the tragedy was nearly repeated at the All Star game HR Derby. Keith Carmickel of Kingman Az, was pulled from the jaws of death by alert friends and family after he lost his balance while standing on a table trying to catch a Prince Fielder exhibition HR ball. Carmickel just missed being the third fan fatality this year.
Moments before, trying to catch a covetd Prince Fielder struck baseball. Notice he's on the table, barefoot, see photo below.

Interesting week, with one fan nearly coming to his end, another falling in front of his son, all for a baseball, yet in NY, another fan, with a much healthier perspective, gave away the ball he caught, that ball was "worth" a lot more than these two souvenirs. Makes you think.

The fan in question is pathetic. Nearly bald, silly clothes, and diving for baseballs over balconies. I can say this because he did not fall.

A simple home run derby ball.

Remarkable ... one of my wife's co-workers came back from a Greek wedding exclaiming "Don't ever get drunk and dance on tables.  You can fall down.  I didn't realize you could fall down because NO ONE ELSE did" (Hear some uzo talking anyone?)

We should have known.  She came back from a trip with her new fiancee earlier that same summer sun burnt.  The unbelievable line that came out then was, "Did you know your b obs get sunburnt very quickly at a nudist camp?"

I have a feeling this fan is burnt, too.

Don't know if you caught an earlier question, which was to ask you when would you start the "Youk Watch"?, but anywho to Celebrate Prince, and Prince Fielder, when I get to 2000, I'll party like it's 1999.
