FanGraphs ranked Colorado outfielder Carlos Conzalez with baseball's 27th highest trade value so I doubt the Rockies would trade the 27-year-old Gonzalez for the Red Sox spare parts in 25-year-old lefthander Felix Doubront (4.86 ERA in 2012), 23-year-old righthander Anthony Ranaudo (4.59 ERA in a minor league career that has not progressed past Double A), a young catcher and a young outfielder (unless perhaps the latter two are Blake Swihart and Jackie Bradley Jr.).

Carlos Gonzalez would command a significant return in trade and the rebuilding Red Sox team might be better off letting the young players develop.
