The batboys should both be next on the firing dock!  This team needs a shake-up.

Gee I thought Marco Scutaro ran through a very strong STOP sign from that very same third base coach?!  Apparently I missed something!

Actually, it was Bogar's fault. He put the stop sign up way too late and Scutaro could not stop on time.

What, is Scutaro a freight train? He needs 2 miles to stop?

He doesn't have to stop next to the third base coach he just has to stop before getting to the plate.

The lengths people will go just to pin some blame on someone. They lost. Move on to the next game.

If he stops 1/3 or 1/2 of the way down the line what chance does he have getting back? And yes, you probably have never played any sports, but stopping hard when you are running as hard as he was could cause injury.

You guys are freaking hysterical.  The coach reads the play and it is the runner's responsibility to stop when the hands go up.  The hands can go up late if the Angels play the ball correctly.  The throw went to the plate.  Scutaro could have stopped and scampered back to the bag.  Anything is else is whining Sox fans looking to blame someone.  I watched a great game last night and the Sox lost.  That's life.  Go get em today.

A very good chance, since the throw went home. It happens all the time.

If this has been his first screwup then it is what it is however, He has done this many times in the past. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last.

and as far as Dice-K... If you had a manager that understood that you put the GOLD GLOVE 1st Baseman at First, The game would have been over in the 9th !!

Regardless of last night, Bogar has been terrible for two years.  He got a bunch of guys thrown out last year that cost the Sox 3-5 games.  He has no business being a third base coach on a team trying to win a world series.  He needs to go.

Good post.  It was a good game that doesn't go to extra innings without that rbi in the bottom of the 9th, two men out, by Ellsbury.

I thought trying to score from first on a shot off the wall was foolhardy, but stuff happens.

Yeah, remember Bogar's first season?  I was frothing at the mouth, acting like some of the idiots I try to talk down on this board about him getting fired.  I am backing off that demand, as perhaps there is more to his job than waving runners or stopping them, and he seems like a smart baseball guy and a good person.  But, the dude, for whatever reason, be it panic or be it plain misjudgement, is not reliable when it comes to stooping/waving runners in pressure judgement situations.
