... In a Corn Field EXCLUSIVE
MLB Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk was arrested for DUI last night in Illinois -- after allegedly driving his truck into the middle of a freakin' corn field ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

According to law enforcement sources, the New Lenox PD received a call about a car in the middle of a corn field around 7:20 PM.

When police arrived, officers say they found Fisk behind the wheel of his F-150 -- which had a flat tire -- and he appeared to be fast asleep. We're told cops also found an open vodka bottle in the vehicle.

Fisk was placed under arrest on the scene on suspicion of DUI -- and taken to a nearby hospital for a check-up. We're told he refused a blood alcohol test. His car was impounded.

The "smart response" is that he "earned it".......   However, last time I saw him on TV at Fenway he looked like he had aged so and one wonders if he is enjoying his HOF from the mountains of  N H  to the cornfields of the "CHICAGO WAY GANG", AFTERALL he played what, 7-10 years out there ???????

  We are not in his shoes.....However, after the long road of baseball & fame that he had, it is very easy to fall into that "trap of what do I do now"......  Retirement sometimes is not what it is cracked up to be !!!  Again,  he does look like "happy hour" has been fun for him !!!!!

Maybe he had a bad reaction to all that "Just for Men " seeping into his scalp.

It's only my opinion, but I think the cops were Cubs fans and were 'stalking' him in that cornfield.

 

 

With the way the Red Sox played this season, who wouldn't want to drink until he/she is drunk?!? 

Methinks the scarecrow is a local informant.  Or possibly one of Shaughnessy's snitches.

it would have been more appropriate if he had driven into a potato field.

anyways, his mug shot isn't as bad as nick nolte's.

He looks terrible? Really? A night of drinking vodka and wearing the skin of a 60+ year old man and he "looks terrible" ??

 

Surely this must mean he is at the end of his rope and must have a serious problem with alcohol.

He was driving to the Field of Dreams in Iowa and didn't quite make it.

 

Sad.

Fisk epitomized the Sox/Yanks rivalry, he was as tough as nails.

I hope he and his family can get some help.

again with the "get help" or "serious problem" bull. He has zero record of this type of inceident before. We all make mistakes... well except for you guys.

I could see your point if he had been pulled over and was over the limit, because you're right "we all make mistakes." But, sorry, a 64 year old man in the middle of nowhere with a bottle of booze by his feet raises red flags.

Yup, a little weaving and getting pinched is a mistake.

Ending up in the middle of a corn field is a problem.

Really? People don't live in rural places? Last I checked major highways run through hundreds of miles of corn fields.
