We may have 6 injuries to other key players instead.

    Every team deals with injuries.

The 2012 Oakland A's won the AL West despite losing McCarthy and Anderson down the stretch.  That's two top starters.  Others need to pick it up for the team.

"That bar graph doesn't show injuries to KEY players..  Compare who was injured for both teams per regular starter and get back to me. "

hmmm?  Rivera, Gardner, Pineda, ARod, Joba, Pettite, Sabathia.......

The Sox OF injuries were unprecedented, but only CF saw a huge drop off in performance.  What the NYY did not have was the drop in performance of key players: Bard, Lester, Pedroia, Beckett, AGon, and Buchholz.

What the Sox also didn't have were PED players lined up to miraculously jump in and carry them. And without all the outside calls Rivera gets as called strikes, he would not still be performing like some super god who never ages.

    LMAO

Yeah cuz only the Red Sox have players who have never used PED's.

Anyone reading this comment should be able to tell that "Ben Cheringtom" is NOT a Sox fan. He's a Yankee troll who has ruined every thread on this board with his one-line insults after Sox fans posts that turn into arguments. This is his oasis since most Sox boards wouldn't put up with him. And the post-season is prime time for guys like him with nothing better to do with their time.

It's enough we have to deal with posters like pinstripezac ever-ready to mock posters who try to be positive about the Sox. Read his post. Was that really necessary? These posters are not here just to discuss baseball, they're here to make sure you don't say anything negative about the Yankees, or get too positive about the Sox. End of story.

What's up with your private profile? I mean you just put insulting comments about Sox fans that are only one or two lines long. Why are you hiding that? Are you afraid posters would read your stream of attacking insulting posts that you throw around in every thread without actually discussing anything and see the pattern? Is that it?

And the only person who needs help is a Yankee troll who would spend 24/7 on a rival team board just insulting Sox fans. You should get some help. This seems to be your whole life. You need to find out why that is.

A Yankee troll with a private profile. That's certainly interesting. Cover your tracks -- or I should say your lame one-liners where you believe you look clever when you really just look pathetic and lost.

pinstripezac your graph is a irrevelent to put down sox.  the discussion is about LAST YEAR ONLY.

the reasons why sox didn't win  in prior years was that their pitching was terrible. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE YANKS RED SOX AND NATIONALS  have not been in the WS.  in the last three years

becuse they were not good enough, end of story.
