    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Marco Scutaro hit a grand slam and drove in a career-high seven runs, leading Ryan Vogelsong and the San Francisco Giants to a 15-0 romp over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night.

    Scutaro had an RBI single in the third, a two-run double in the eighth and then hit his third career slam, connecting in the ninth off Mitchell Boggs

    What if Becket pitches a no hitter (maybe perfect game) after he gets traded ?

    If only people paid as much attention to the US budget, as some on here do to the Red Sox budget, we wouldn't be this much in debt.

    I don't get the purpose of the original post.

    I like both players. And their season stats are basically even. Aviles has better slugging, and Scutaro has better OBP. Aviles has a better arm defensively, and I think is a bit better defensively and Scutaro, but both players are better defensively than they're given credit for by some.

    Scutaro 107 G, 469 PA, 52 R, 20 2B, 3 3B, 5 HR, 43 RBI, .279 BA, .331 OBP, .376 SLG, .707 OPS

    Aviles 103 G, 420 PA, 45 R, 24 2B, 11 HR, 52 RBI, .256 OBP, .283 OBP, .400 SLG, .683 OPS

    And before that grand slam and seven RBIs, the offensive differential would have favored Aviles more in terms of run production.

    talk about reading between the lines--I just made a post about Scutaro knocking in 7 with his new new team. Not trying to compare or contrast just that there were times where people felt Scutaro was a terrible Sox signing. He actually was pretty serviceable.
