Yeah, if you hit a rope on the 3-1 pitch there are no questions but when you pop it up it looks like a bad decision to swing.

Crawford had some heat exhaustion or dehydration problem because of the conditions in Texas.

Burnett's ERA now at 5.31.  They must be seriously considering dropping him from the rotation.

One thing that worries me a little is the contract status of Johnny Cueto. I'm not compeltely sure, but I think he turned down a contract from the Reds at the beginning of the year because he wanted to be a free agent. He's leading the world in ERA now, so NYY might be after him for next season. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it's setting up.

he won't be on the playoff roster, that's looking sure

i almost felt sorry for the guy tonight, getting hit hard & then fumbling a little hit up the 1st base line looking pathetic

Pitch may not have been a strike, but you have got to protect the plate. Don't take a called strike three with two men in scoring position.

MLB Gameday confirms that called third strike was a ball, not even close really.

On January 26 Johnny Cueto signed a four-year, $27 million extension through 2014 with a $10 million club option for 2015:

Albers looks awful. They have given this guy every opportunity to get on track but clearly they have to give the 7th inning job to Wheeler.

Ok, I was wrong then. Somebody from the Reds refused to sign a long term contract. My have been Volquez then, which is a non-event. Thanks for the info. At least we don't have to worry about Cueto going to NYY.
