That's what I was thinking; I don't know about the 11 yr old girl, and probably don't want to.

Wow.  Just wow.  The MLB leader in rbi's strikes out on three pitches with the bases loaded.  First two pitches were right in the middle of the plate, and he let the first go by and missed the second by about 6 inches.

It is a simple fact that AGon just ain't the same against lefty pitching--I think the difference in OPS is about 400 points.

Good move by Girardi, and his pitcher delivered big time.

When you're hitting .350-ish, it's hard to quibble; they're human.

He took a first pitch fastball strike. After that he was forced to hit a breaking ball and couldn't do it.

In Response to Re: Friday Night Baseball Thread: Yankees at Red Sox - The battle for first place is on : And what about tjhe Mitchell report, and the Ortiz story, where he hid behind the skirt of the MLBPA; there isn't some bullsh*t involved there? What goes around comes around, irrespective of fandom.

That's the one complaint, somewhat, that I have against him. He's not been as clutch as I'd hoped, especially not with the HR's. He's been somewhat, but not as much as his avg. would indicate. And here we go, we DON'T score, and now they put the first two on. Not good.

you know something, it's funny as i watch Lester, can't help but think had the MLBPA not put the kibosh on Alex to the Sox, Lester would be taking the hill for the Rangers...strange game baseball..LOL..

hi all. quik thoughts: cc made a great web gem catch. no way theo is taking out a starter in that situation as girardi just did, hopefully he learns to add that to his playbook, hopefully ortiz wont be whining about any official score's call after this one, cant believe he did that. some great defense from sox thus far

as dennis green would say, "we had them on the hook burt we let them off. if u wanna crown them go ahead and crown them".. sox consistently dont score ffrom third with less than 2outs.. coming bak to hurt us, hurts the psyche of pitchers and wakes the other team up
