It hasn't been all year and with Ortiz taking his time coming back, that is not helping this team at all either. I hope Ortiz is not peeved off at the Boston Media and the lack of a contract for next year on his team. [QUOTE]In Response to Re: Friday night Game Thread:Twins at Red Sox : He seems like a nice guy, although I'm a little worried.  I was confident 2 months ago but I think it is difficult to overcome the huge media advantage the other side has.  The media has become out of control and is more valuable than any Super-Pac out there. I could use some positive spin on the front J to lift my spirts!! Also J it won't take the Sox years and this is coming from a Yankee fan, they will be in the pennant race either next year or the season after.

Romney is exactly as he seems. Little goofy at times, which is part of his appeal. not your typical politician. I'm not as confident as I once was, also. Just cant imagine the country will vote Obama in again. I think a lot of people voted for him to prove to themselves, and/or others, they weren't racist. could boast they voted for the first so called black president, which he isnt. Hopefully, those same people will be smarter this time

Yes, lets get back to the policies of 2000-2008, those worked out well.  Recessions, decade long wars, unregulated financial markets..... those were the days.

JBay I agree , I hope Romney gets in. I get hit with a waiver on my VA disability because I did not serve 20 years of active duty but I was wounded in Iraq. Obama could have signed a bill into law if he was so inclined like he has done for illegal aliens and other things for the vets he gives us nothing. Its a loophole in the law that affects people particularly reservists and National Guardsman who were wounded in Iraq. An active duty person could serve 20 years and never go to a combat zone and they are not affected by the waiver, it real BS. I would vote for the devil against him although I did not vote for him in 2008 either. AL why did you get a waiver?  I've never heard of that, I have a 70% rating and I didn't serve 20 years I served 8, what are the waivers about?

I was active duty for 8 years but why would being a guardsman or reservist matter, you still served on active duty in a combat zone?  Thats BS!!!!!

Partial check from Army and a VA waiver because I am not 60 years old and did not serve 20 years of active duty. Congressman in Georgia and Florida have been trying to fix it under Bill HR333 but I am in that loophole until they do. I am 90% VA disabled and 40% Active Army Disabled. Was in a hospital when Sox won in 2007 with Surgery number 4 on my right shoulder. And what are they now tmac? "Regulated markets"--aka--"socialism", government control of everything, and a socialist nanny state that tells us what to do from cradle to grave. Socialized health care that was not even legitimately passed in Congress, a policy that turns 18% of the economy over to Gov't control, and gives them power over life and death. 16,000 new IRS agents brought in to enforce it just for starters. Some of the garbage in that health reform bill is too horrible to even imagine considering how our country was founded. It's not about health care anymore than cap and trade is about the environment, it's all about redistribution of wealth, and "social justice" (socialISM). Obama and his people are unabashadly for "fundamentally transforming America" by turning it into a socailist state. I like you tmac, and enjoy posting with you, but I'm not with you on this. No way we can take another 4 years of this policy. He's intentionally wrecking this country to prove to us and the whole world that "capitalism doesn't work". Sorry man, we just can't let it go on and I pray the people in this country see enough of this to do something about it before we lose our country totally.

Oh god.  The persecution complex with the right about the media.  What difference does it make, Mitt only talks to Fox anyway.  He wouldn't dare mess with those lefty news orgs who asked Palin unfair, gotcha questions like "name a newspaper, dummy?"

Have you seen our Commander in Chief's campaign is now trying to make it harder for service members to cast absentee ballots in the state of Ohio?  These are the same folks that complain about voters having to produce ID in certain states but when its the possibilty of more conservative leaning military votes being cast in Ohio they suddenly don't care about voting rights.  Where is MSNBC on this story?
