The Angels can only lose 1 more game, if that.
In Response to Re: Friday night scoreboard watching:top of 8th: Toronto 5 Tampa Bay 0 : The Jays got him from Seattle for Brandon League...that's one of those trades that makes you shake your head.  How do you get a young starter who can throw the ball like this for a reliever?

Funny part is, the deal worked for Seattle. They saw a closer in League, and they were right. Seattle tried Morrow in many capacities and gave up on him.

Potential never really tapped into is a sad thing.

Gio has it going so far tonight.  Maybe Coco will help up his old mates......

Yeah, true...League has been very good as closer.  Stay tuned on Morrow though.  Of course I keep thinking the same thing about Jeremy Guthrie. Pitchers that can look really good when they're on.

Guthrie needs a divorce from the O's. I wouldn't be surprised if he were traded this winter. Always liked him. It'll be interesting to see which direction O's FO takes.
Guthrie could net some nice M.L. ready prospects.

With all the ink the Tribe got this year as a surprise team, Farrell has done a nice job with Toronto. They'd have contended in lesser divisions (they are
    39-30 [.565] outside of A.L. East).

For all Sox fans everywhere's the Angels lost to Oakland 3-1. Now if Lester and the Sox can manage too win, it will put all the pressure on the Rays and Angels!

Excellent news! Hell, with the rainy forecast, Sox might just slide in between the rain drops.

    Posted by harness
Heck it might be worth it if it rains the game out on Saturday also! Make the Rays and Angels them come out and win because if not we could slip into the playoffs by not playing.

It does and the Angels lost too, apparently the Angels and the Rays want the Sox to make the playoffs.

I don't know about the Angels but the Rays seem determined to remain behind.
