Mort was fantastic last year. and yes, he pitched multiple innings at a tine. opponents only hit .255 off of him

Like I said, I didn't like our Mort's chances of two scoreless innings.  It's his run on the board.

I hate guys who can't wear their hat straight like its made to be worn.  That's a good thing about the NFL.  A uniform policy.  Baseball should do the same.  Strop looks like a dope.

Re: Game 9 Thread: Orioles at Red Sox

Just saw a picture of old Dodger pitcher Don Newcombe.

Did you guys know that in 1950 he pitched both ends of a double header?  He pitched a shutout complete game in the 1st game, and gave up only two runs in the second game after seven innings.

Why in hell do pitchers today tire out after 5 innings or so?  Yes, a few exceptions..Verlander, for one...old Nolan Ryan was another.

    Really! what in the world?

He is just not someone who can go too long in a close game before he gives up something.

read where farrell said he would not  use koji on bak to bak days... best laid plans of men. Andrew Miller has now faced 8 batters this year, walked 3. He's walked or hit the 1st batter he's faced in 3 of 4 appearances.

I just dont understand how a big league pitcher cannot throw strikes at least somewhat consistently.  Walks have been his problem for years now and yet he doesnt seem to be able to correct it and whoever has been coaching him doesnt seem to be able to fix it either...

i agree. to me it's the same as having your jersey untucked. and, yes, he does look like a dope, but i'm not sure if it's just the cap.

Aceves is still in the dugout.  I give him big-time credit for that!

I hope I am wrong but it just doesn't feel like the Sox are going to come back and win this game.

Feel the same way but you never know...losing that game last night like that s u cked....even if the Sox lose tonight they would have still won the series.... lets hope they come back but our hitters tonight look passive at the plate...

Calm down. I would've said the same thing if he was  from France.
