Let me change that thought.  Webster stinks, this one is over in the 2nd inning with our Punch and Judy offense. Good night everybody.

Not sure this kid Webster is the answer to our rotation !

He's not the answer to any rotation; I hope this is the last we see of him.

You can't walk the ninth hitter hitting .202.   Terrible job.  Looks like we will see Workman soon.

I hope this will be the last we see of this guy (Webster, of course), and I wouldn't mind them saying good bye to Napoli, either.

Webster's ERA is now 9.00.    How long is this going to continue?  We do have other pitchers in the minors, don't we ?

Ellsbury can't stay in the lineup.  I feel sorry for the team that overplays him.  It won't be Boston.

Just a realistic observation.  He is injury prone.  He should be playing.  They need him.  And if you don't like it, take your three posts and leave.

Cant believe that Farrell had no one warming in the BP until that last hit...what is he thinking?? its obvious this kid is pitching batting practice from the start...

Webster looks horrible tonight.  Game over.  Good night.  That game Saturday when Sox blew 7-3 lead is the kind that leads to losing streaks.

Still can't get over the Sox blowing a 4 run lead in the bottom of the 9th and going on to losing the game in the 11th.  Losing that game was akin to getting a hard punch to the stomach.  It still hurts and could very well be the start of a losing streak which is now at 3 and working on 4 so far.  Sure hope we can at least go 4 & 5 or if we get lucky 5 & 4 on this west coast swing.

Re: Game 92: Red Sox at Mariners

Webster's main problem is that he has no command of his pitches. He either misses badly or puts it right down the middle. Cannot be successful like that.  We have other options. To continue with him makes absolutely no sense. All that is happening is that his confidence is being completely destroyed. He looks shell shocked. Have to send him down. This is not working.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

yeah and Webster just puked it up. Bottom line is he looks scared out there and that does not commute well to the Major Leagues.

Re: Game 92: Red Sox at Mariners

Sox pitching is horrendous except for Lackey and a few other guys.  They need Drew back and Iggy at third for defense because Snyder and Holt can't play D.
