Speaking of Griffin, I read an article in MLB.com last year that he worked part-time at a Nike store (while he was in the minors) so that he can earn more money to pay his rent.

Red Sox just 11 wins shy of their win total for all of last season.

The Rays won, but the O's and Yankees both lost today. That is not a typo. The Twins actually beat the Yankees.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

Here is what I am predicting is Lester's line for tonight: five ER in 5-6 IP, at best. Could be even worse. The A's are a good team and we beat them last night, so they will be gunning for us today. Unfortunately, Lester has been pitching like a below average #5 SP for his last 10 starts or so. I believe he will get hammered.

In his last 10 starts Lester's ERA is 6.49 with an OPSa of an astounding .900. Yet he says he is pitching better than his line score. Huh?

Lucky flowers.  Napoli and Gomes bought them in Seattle and gave them to Butterfield as a joke. He put them in dugout and Sox won. They have won four straight with them in dugout. Iggy is in charge of getting them to game and keeping them alive.

He has been used so much he may be wearing down a little.  The break will do him good.

Well, Lester pitched well enough tonight... no offense at all to support him...
