No Ellsbury, what the heck is Farrell smoking? Last night he waited until it was to late to have a reliever get up and be ready, not that the extra run was a difference maker. Hopefully he has a plan to try and win some of these games. If Lester bombs out again tonight, it is panic time and the Sox will need to go get a starting pitcher, whether they want to or not.

    Pete Abraham         @PeteAbe

Given that Pedroia is 10 months younger than Cano and comparable statistically, RedSox did well to make deal now.

Thread about a possible Ellsbury trade disappears after a few comments.  Are subjects often censored here?

Buchholz hopes he could make four or five starts before the end of the season. Andrews said buildup should be methodical

Ok so if things go well clay Buchholz makes "4 or 5 five" reg season starts? That's what Doc Andrew told Him. Is there a disconnect here?

Hopefully the Red Sox can "cool off" the red-hot Rays.

Only half a game separates the two ballclubs.

The O's are only 2.5 games behind Boston.

The Yankees and Blue Jays are sailing away towards the other side of earth.   LOL

Re: Game Thread 102: Rays at Red Sox

So Ortiz is on 1st....no outs....Napoli singles to LEFT and Ortiz tries to go from 1st to 3rd on a hit to LEFT and is thrown out by a mile.  Napoli takles 2nd on the throw to 3rd....Napoli then scores on a single.....yet another bonehead running mistake by our beloved Red Sox....when is some one going to tell Ortiz that he is not the fastest 240 pound (or whatever his weight is) running the bases...he cost us a run....just hope we don't need that run to win the game, AND listen I love Ortiz.  He is da man...but his baseball sense on the bases is sometimes very suspect....GO ORTIZ AND RED SOX!

(My opinion is not valid as I do not post often)
