Hes scheduled to go on a rehab assignment soo. It will be good to have a solid veteran catcher behind Salty again.

Very curious how Salty and Jake work together, does he shake him off a lot? Is Peavy a quick worker?
Does the Catcher slow him down. Intresting to watch a real Veteran Pitcher work with a Catcher.

Not sure about Ross. Two concussions do not bode well. A catcher is certainly going to take some foul tips off the mask.  Tough lefty tonight. Will need some production from the righty bats. All the best to Peavy in his debut.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

I'm glad Jake is facing one of the best Pitchers in the National League. He knows has to keep game tight.

Peavy looks good so far.  I like the trade though Iggy will be missed.

Really like what I see & hear from Peavy!

I like the trade for this year, but we could easily look back in 5 years & say, "how did we ever let this superstar SS go?"

Have to give up something to get something.  if peavy gives them two to five years of good pitching and they are in the playoffs it will be worth it.

Watching the two youngsters, Corbin and Goldschmidt, it brings up the question when has the SOX brought up players of this type of quality? This great farm system everyone raves about, but seriously where are these type of players in the SOX organization?

Hopefully, one of the SOX prospects can come close to the above mentioned.

Yeah, that was quite a shot by Goldschmidt.  Coincidentally , Iglesias just homered for the Tigers. Probably just lucky.

Pedroria, Buchholz, Ellsbury, Bard, Iglesias, Lester, Doubrant, anthony Rizzo, Jackie Bradley Jr. middlebrooks, and  Tazawa, are all products of minor league system.

The DBacks got Corbin from the LA Angels in one of those infamous deadline deals.  The Angels gave him up for Dan Haren.

    They traded Haren for Corbin.

although the sox havent brought anyone up like that recently, farm systems have highs and lows...Pedey, paps, Ellsbury, Bard, Buchholz were at a high.

The system has been low the last few years and now is about to bring us some very promising young players in Bogaerts, Cecchini, JBJ, Weve already seen Workman, Owens, etc...
