Dempster 4-7 in Minutemaid Park.  ERA 3.79 that's decent.

Thanks.  I think this is close to moonslav's recommendation on another thread--against righty starters.  But I think he would use Nava and bat him 2d.

WOW....never thought I'd see Farrell finally try something different for the 5 hole and sit Napoli......wonder if Mr Henry or Ben C. had to prod him to sit Napoli or did Farrell figure this out on his own......either way just hope Gomes and Carp have a big game so as to make it a little hard for Farrell to put Napoli back into the 5 hole right away......go Gomes, Carp and of course our Red Sox......

Have to wonder if Drew started to produce, without Iggy breathing down his neck.

This Cosart kid is pretty good.  Will Dempster be able to get back on track ?  If not , this could be a tough game.

Spoke to Lavarnway about De La Rosa. He thinks his velocity would play up in relief. "He was 97-98 easy last night," Lavarnway said.

    Pete Abraham

16 pitches by De La Rosa on Tuesday. 10 were 96-98 mph. Mixed in a slider and a few changeups. Be interesting to see how this goes

This Cosaris kid is plain good, the best you can hope for is get his pitch count up and out of the game.  More wine tonight.
