Sox cant seem to hit Chen and this guy throws in the 80s...

They have been getting beat regularly by lefties, Price twice, moore, and the guy from Houston.

Yeah i get that but this guy is not a power pitcher... i just dont get why they cant hit this guy... his stuff is just mediocre... it seems to be more about gettin the Sox off balance but good hitters should adjust to that ...

Have the Sox hit anything hard? All I see are pop ups and cans of corn in the outfield. I don't think they'll touch Chen tonite. In fact, I think they'll have lot of trouble with KC in this series.

Well at least a positive is that Lester has settled down nicely...

Watching Chen tonite reminds me of a baseball movie from the early 50's titled " It Happens Every Spring". In it, a professor invents a substance that repels wood. He goes on to joined a mediocre ML team as a pitcher. He applies the substance to the ball, which of course, makes the ball unhittable. The professor thus leads the team to a WS championship. A very funny movie. One of my favorites.

Jon Lester has not pitched badly. I missed the first inning and saw it was 3-0 but heard it was an error. Jeez it would have been smart to pick up Chen to keep him from frustrating the Red Sox.

If you look closely at Lester, he is already sweating like a pig... i noticed that his last game too...

97 % humidity in KC, was raining before the game.

JBay my daughter is still being kept out of soccer games for 14 days by the doctor and she has to wear a nose guard on her face for at least 6 weeeks. O another note I thought Lester pitched decently tonight and am happy about that even though we are losing.

I will give Lester credit for keeping the Sox in the game.  Gomes error in first was big but it won't matter if Sox don't score.

All in all a pretty good outing for Lester...in fact other than the first inning he was really good!

I guess DeLaRosa is not the answer in the bullpen.
