That hurts.  Big Papi would have made a difference there.

So many think the Yankees are dead and can't come back but they are only 3 being the Orioles in loss column & 6 behind us. They were 10 in loss column 2 weeks ago. They sweep a double header today(only we have a tought time with Toronto) & Tampa keeps winning 1 run  games. We need a victory tonight and the 1 run in the 1st was pathetic ! We still continue to lack a killer hit like Gardiner did to us the other night to clear the bases for NY.

Wow! This bozo couldn't break a dinner plate with his crappy 89 MPH fastball, and yet OUR bozos can't have a good at bat!

Is Girardi REALLY advocating giving special privilege to Arod to NOT be thrown at, under penalty of being suspended?

Having the right to do something doesn't make it the right thing to do.

Yes- suspend Dempster for hitting the guy that won't accept his own suspension- oh the irony of it all. Girardi never had anyone thrown at? Please

    [/QUOTE]

JBay, I absolutely hate Arod with a passion, but we needed the game Sunday and the team just gave Dempster a 2-0 lead plus they had CC. Sabathia on the ropes in the first inning, but that thing that Dempster did help shift the momentum of the game to the Yankees. Strike him out, make him look bad but the objective was to win the game not make a poor point. Then they give him a 3 run lead in the 6th inning and he gives up a homerun to the clown and helps set up the 4 run inning that the Yankees scored.

When's the last time this team came up with a big hit? They've been leaving an awful lot of runners on. Making another nobody into a top line starter.

Of course I'm happy with Victorino's HR but Pedey was going to steal 2nd & slipped & then the Double rolls away from the outfielder but hits a wall so Pedey can't score. And, as has been happening lately, we cannot get a key hit with men on 2nd & 3rd & pressure is on our pitcher with only a 2 run lead.

I know you were joking. ..he looks pretty confident. But, when is the last time they got a big hit? Been a long time. Would have been nice if the kid came through. They need some swagger back.

can we please get someone who can play good defense in LF? gomes and nava are both butchers in the field, perhaps its time to call up jackie bradley. gomes is a DH and nava while semi-adequate at home, cannot play LF in any of the away parks without struggling.
