Sox need to resign Drew.  He started slow due to concussion and then had hamstring injury but he  has had many big hits.  He has been very good defensively.  Make Middlebrooks a first baseman, Bogaerts at third.

Yep, they got to sign Drew for sure.

Seriously, Dumpster is pathetic... he needs to be replaced in the rotation...the guy just bites...

He gave up all of 4 runs tonite. Some of you fair weather kids are pathetic; we'll be listening for your boos during Papi's next slump.

yeah 4 runs in 6 innings...how about you factor that for 9 innings??  And as far as fair weather fans....you come on here in a route?  where are you other nights?

Mo Rivera gets another b.s. strike call to go his way... 6 = 5 Yanks.  Incredible.  Such favoritism... catcher practically scooped the ball outta the dirt, and was 6 inches outside.  Retire already, and take Slappy with ya!!

    He has earned it

Earned what?? A pitch being called strike three, to end an inning, instead of ball 4 to load the bases in and one run game?

Correction, J Bay, in his inimitable style, the seams of the ball caught the outside corner; however, it was arguably low, but that was not clear cut either, since the path of the ball may have scraped the knees. The reaction here, especially so far removed from that game, is hilarious as well, and typical.

What difference does that make? It was low, and clearly a ball. What's typical, is your response, to ours.  What's fair is fair, regardless

Route what? 95?  1?  I come on very little anymore (latest in Ted & Mudcat topic) The forum ain't what it used to be; I do read from time to time, but there are few interesting baseball debates or humorous exchanges as of old.

Thank you J-BAY.  There is no "earning it" when a big game is on the line.  It's calling it what it is...  ball four.  There was no question about that pitch...  low & outside,  clearly.  The batter was completely stunned about that call.  Kudos to Mo for the 4 out save,  but that call at that moment...  An NBA type favoritism call that LeBron/Kobe get all too frequently.

[SNIP] catcher practically scooped the ball outta the dirt, and was 6 inches outside.

Neither is particularly true and it weakens your argument.  The ball was a little low but he's getting credit for making an incredible pitcher's pitch right there and having his cut catch the outside black.  Batter has a right to be pissed and you're right it's a legend call, but I'd still call it borderline.
