Not essential, Ellsbury says, that he attempt to steal a base before season ends. Remember: He rarely steals in spring training

Yes, it was and even Eck is on the Drew band wagon.  Maybe Bogaerts can try first base, less chance of double clutching there.

They need Drew back next year.

Bogey may not live up to the fans hype JB, but he has done what the Sox expect from him. Although Ive been one of the biggest Drew fans all year, iyt will take a 3-4 year deal to land him. Not sure id go there with guys like Bogey, Marrero, and Cecchini all knocking on the door.

Its a good problem to have though with all the potential from the farm.

95 wins, with 5 more games left.  Say 98 win season ?

I think Sox will need about 98 to 99 to get homefield throughout playoffs, and play the wild card team in the divisional series.  A's are pretty hot on their trail for the homefield.  Need to take both games against the lowly Rox, even on the road.

Then may be 2 out of 3 against O's will net 99 W's.  But O's may have other ideas for Sox at the Yards.

That was another huge win for us, and another shameful defeat for da team in da bronx!

Going thru threads, it seems you thought Boggie was going to be an everyday player from the call up.  I really don't want to get into a back and forth.  I have been sent a few pm's that anyone who gets the better of you gets kicked off.

Let's just leave it as you know best and we are all here to serve you.

Yes. Thats right. Southpaw has a direct line to BDC Dottie and gets anyone who argues with him kicked off the forum. Seriously?
About Bogaerts: don't forget that he started the season in A ball at Salem. For him to even be with the big league club now is a HUGE jump. He is more than likely going to be an everyday player some day. Signing Drew to a contract for more than a year is just going to delay his arrival. Drew is solid; Bogaerts is much younger, cheaper, and has IMO a higher ceiling.
