Pedroia is good to go, Nava gets the start v. a righty and Saltalamacchia leapfrogs Middlebrooks.

Unless Farrell is trying to get everyone in the lineup fairly early on, this doesn't bode very well for Jonny Gomes.

victorino struggles VS RHP and Nava excells VS RHP. that is also why he is DHing and not Gomes.

he doesn't do terribly well VS RHP. at least we will have the option of bringing him off the bench if need be.

he hits much better against left handed pitching than right handed pitching.

for his career he is .267/.330/.402 against RHP and conversly he is .301/.373/.508 against LHP

Although he's right handed so you might expect him to be better batting right handed

This is a better Yankees lineup IMO, but not a lot better. They are going to have to keep the runs allowed down to win with these sorts of lineups.

With Ichiro and Gardner at the top of the lineup they are a pesky group!

Sometimes you cant always say that just because a guy throws right handed that he bats right handed( or in this case bats switch). There are alot of guys that throw right and bat left( or even throw left and bat right like cody ross). So i didnt know if Shane batted left and learned to hit right or if he batted right and learned to hit left. But i know now that he's a natural righty and learned to bat from the left.
