2004Idliot keeps priming the pump, but we have all fallen silent. Thanks, anyway.
I was pretty sure Bailey would stay as the closer because so far this season he has a much better track record.
I suspected Youk was going on the DL and continue to be amazed, not just at all those front line injuries, but at how the Yankees somehow manage to stay above .500. This just might be Girardi and Cash's finest hour.
These Sox are different--build on starting pitching, pretty good defense, and just enough hitting (actually, a little more than that). As long as Lester, Buchholz, Dempster, Doubront, and Lackey can keep putting up those good numbers (not great, but good), the Sox will stay competitive.
softlaw would have gladly traded anybody and everybody on the Sox to get Upton, but right now, as good as Upton has been for Atlanta, that does not seem to have been the best solution. Who knew Dempster and Napoli (at 1B no less) and Victorino would be good acquisitions? Certainly not me.
Speaking of Victorino, how's his back? He should have been in tonight's lineup.
Less than a month ago, almost the entire RSN believed Iglesias and Bradley were the keys to this season, and those new guys borderline worthless. Funny thing is, I still like both of those guys, but see the value of going with more experience, at least for now.
If Vic goes on the DL, does Bradley reappear in Boston? I don't think so, but would not mind an argument in favor.
